Owner description: The F.A.C., Cuban Art Factory, located on the 26 and 11 in Vedado, is the best night cultural proposal in La Havana. There is always something new to do, theater, jazz, contemporary dance, concerts, DJ's, exhibitions or intranet chatting. The best of all, all of this can take place in one night, while taking a glass of wine and eating delicious 'tapas'. Visit this place, a new Oxygen in Havana!

Saturday Night it Opens at 9pm and the live music doesn't start until 11pm. The venue is in an old factory that used to do something with oil. It has lots of hallways and rooms that have really eclectic art all over the place. There are bars in good locations throughout the different areas.
There is a live music area on the first floor. On the second floor there is a very large room with a enormous screen playing old rock concerts. There is a roof top area that leads into an area housing a restaurant that is made up from old overseas containers.
They give you a drink card when you arrive and you have to let them stamp your card every time you get something, then pay on the way out. Loose your card and pay $30.

Hands down one of the most interesting bars/museums I have ever been to. They basically converted an old three-story warehouse into an avante-guard art museum. The exhibits are very risque and controversial and would probably cause a media frenzy if they were in NYC. Lots of pictures of submissive half-naked people and exhibits showcasing the recent freedom of the Cuban people in unique ways.

On weekend nights as you walk in you are given a blank card and bartenders write the cost of each drink on the card and you pay for the entire check as you walk out. (Make sure to bring a lot of cash!)

Inside there are three bars. One is located at the entrance to the right, the other is on the main floor towards the back of the warehouse and the third bar is located in the basement where the live music is. The ground floor bar was interesting because in the same room was a huge tv projector that showcased recent music videos (mix of Spanish and American videos).

As an FYI, the bathrooms here are gross: no locks on the stall doors, no toilet paper, and no soap. Ladies, I recommend you bring tissues and antibacterial hand soap. Also, there is no air conditioning in here, so you will sweat your butt off! Otherwise, a definite when visiting Havana, very eclectic crowd of people.

Such a different side of Havana. My girlfriend and I visited one night and wished we could have returned for a second. It demonstrated how Cuba is progressing and the undercurrent of young, vibrant culture not apparent in Old Havana.

This club in the Miramar district is well worth the possible extra travelling involved.
As a converted oil factory the style and imagination in bringing the various pieces of this venue together make it one of the more interesting and worthwhile night time locations to visit.
We arrived just after it opened (8pm) on a Thursday night and received a card each to keep track of what we bought in the various bars and tapas bar within. Once full it needs to be paid off at the entrance before continuing the night. I imagine this could cause long queues at the end of the night.
We spent the first hour walking round the art gallery covering 3 floors first. There are some thought provoking and clever pieces here. The was a classical music area which was playing concert footage but set up for a live performance later. Another performance space had some Afro-beats dancing followed later by live jazz.
The many bars offer small medium and large versions of cocktails at a reasonable price. The bar at the front of the venue is open air with modern music and seemed the busiest of the bars on this night except this that had performances ongoing.
The different aspects and the way they are put together allows for a long night with plenty of variety. Well worth going.
