We stayed here for two weeks after reading the superb reviews online, here is what we found -
Room- lovely, spacious, well equipped, very well cleaned. The aircon was a bit of a pain only working when you are in the room as we like to come into a nice cool room at the end of the day - but that was only a very minor issue.

Staff - very helpful, nice trip to the managers house on the Thursday for nibbles and cocktails, we found the shuttle to Holetown useful.

The Hut Cafe- had some nice meals here, also got a good deal on car hire for the week. In our opinion the barbeque could of been better and cheaper.

Pools /Grounds all very clean and well kept, the place will benefit when the new apartments open as we found it to be too quiet and in need of a bar (rooftop bar was not suffice) and venue for evening meals. As mentioned by others -expect to be able to hear traffic as you are relaxing by the pool.

Position - a little too isolated for our liking, its an ideal base for families to explore Barbados from with a car, but if you do not hire a car we found it to be too far from decent reasonable priced restaurants.

Beach- Nice Beach over the road, but for one of the best beaches simply walk down to the road turn left past the Cliff restaurant and look out for a gate next to some boarded building plot - this will lead you to a deserted beach with no traffic noise and good snorkelling, much better than the Beach opposite Beach view.

Overall - yes i would recommend it, but we would not return. We found where we stayed in the past (south of Bridgetown) to be around a third cheaper in the restaurants and we felt it suited families with kids more than couples (such as ourselves).

I have still rated the Hotel highly as the fact it was not really for us does not mean it will not be for you, as i said its ideal for a family base and ideal to explore the island from and return back to a lovely apartment and cook an evening meal.

Room Tip: Avoid Paw Paw Building

We've all seen the great reviews, in my opinion they are fully warranted. The rooms are very spacious, clean and fully equipped. The pool area is ideal for old and young alike and the gardens are immaculate.
The only let down is that the 'hut' closes at 2pm but I believe there will be a bar once the extension is completed in November.
We have already recommended this hotel to friends and family and will be returning ourselves.
Thanks to Carrie, Robin and all the staff for such an enjoyable time

Stayed at Beach View for 9 nights and can’t recommend it enough. Staff were helpful and friendly, the accommodation was clean and comfortable, and the location was excellent, very close to Payne’s Bay. Would definitely stay again.

The beach view consists of 4 large blacks of apartments.
The apartments are large and spacious and I believe have up to 3 double rooms in each.

Negative: we started off in the first apartment block. It seemed so lovely and bright, overlooking the beach with fantastic views. However, it also overlooked the road which was incredibly noisy. After 2 nights we asked to move and we're moved to a ground floor apartment near the pool. This was perfect.

The apartments are large and spacious and clean.
Good wifi throughout and by the pool
The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher
Washing machine and drier
Really large comfortable bed
Air conditioning throughout
Beach towels provided
Outside table and chairs
Great bathroom and shower
Lovely large swimming pool, open until 10pm
3 min walk to the beach, perfect
Close to many restaurants and Holetown
Supermarket close by, but you will need a car
Breakfast is available if needed
Taxi to holetown approx Barbados $25
Friendly staff
Will definitely return

We travelled as a family of 5 (3 young children) on our first trip to barbados and found every aspect of this hotel superb. From the minute we booked to the time we left, we couldn't fault it - From the staff, the rooms, the pool, the location and of course the amazing island.

We had a ground floor room which was perfect for us with young kids as close to the pool.

Our best holiday so far but highlights were the Monday night barbecue, Thursday night drinks at the owners villa and the stunning paynes bay beach which is only a short walk away.

We can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: Ground floor best for families, higher floors for views
