We had an group of about 18 people we were surrounded by flowers and stone with a small waterfall right behind us. The service was great the ladies that took care of us were super polite and attentive, the buffet style lunch was so delicious and there was live pan music. So chill, so lovely would definitely return.

Thank Elizabeth M

Traveled here with a large group (20 plus) for dinner. We had an 8pm reservation and although we did have a rather long wait time the food was well worth it. The resturant prides itself on being one of the best puveyours of traditional Bajan cuisine. If you are ready to experience all that Barbados has to offer and want to enjoy some real Bajan food, here is the place to do it!

This place had no personality at all. We were the third couple in the restaurant and waited almost a half hour to get bread and wine. Or hostess was an older woman who did not want to work that night. No smile, grunting, and attitude. There is no soft music here, only the creaking of the fans. Food came out 45 minutes later and was very good. Compliments to the chef. We usually go overboard when tipping, not in this case. This woman gave us poor service and did not deserve the average tip we left her.

Brown Sugar was recommended by a friend who had visited on her trip to Barbados. It's on a side road near Radisson with an open covered area featuring Bajan decor, rustic, clean and lovely ambience. Hubby and I visited without reservations as walk-ins but were told we had a 15 minute wait. Staff were very friendly and we decided to stay. As with most places in Barbados, DO NOT GO ON AN EMPTY STOMACH as service is extremely slow. Avoid the crab cake appetizer- it was 2 bland dry lumps that tasted like it was frozen and refried. The split pea pumpkin soup was good. For the entrees, both the snapper and the mahi were tasty. Food is overpriced like everywhere else in Barbados but overall it was enjoyable.
