Beach bum is perfectly located a few meters from the beach entrance, near the parking lot.
We came for a lunch at 1.00pm and terrace was quite busy with few spots left on the tables. When placing our order (4 chicken rolls & 1 coconut shrimps), staff informed us that we would have to wait a bit.... lead time became actually a full 1.5 hours!! A few times we asked about status of our order and we only got a vague response... up to the moment we were almost packing to leave and go find another place, food finally arrived!!
Not the biggest serves but the quality was really great. I must admit I was gladly surprised considering the "environment" -relatively basic beach bar / food place...
Except for the extremely long wait, I would definitely come back!
Try the coconut shrimps... a small snack of 4 bites, but really excellent (we should have ordered more, but not willing to wait for another long lead time to get it served)

We had the best lunch with a fantastic setting . Simple but effective can't help but enjoy the relaxing atmosphere! The shrimp Caesar salad as was the shrimp wrap the fries also hit the note !! Run by great people so close to the beach you can dine then step onto the beach without a lot of effort. Plenty of parking and beach space

This is one of only two bars near the beach and the only one right on the beach itself. The second one is between 100 to 200 meters away up the road (you pass by it on the way to the beach) but you will want to have your shoes or flip flops on to get there.

They have a limited number of chairs and umbrellas available for rent and were all out when we arrived at 10 so I can’t tell you how much they charge. We were later able to rent a few chairs from someone NOT affiliated with the bar who had his own, yet still limited supply. Would be nice if they could make more available for rent though especially since there is no natural shade near them on the beach. Makes it that much further to walk when you want something:)

As for food and drink, they have a good variety available on the menu to choose from and accept both the Eastern Caribbean dollar as well as the US dollar, with both prices listed. Seating is available. One issue though is that during lunch you can expect long wait times in line, even if all you want to do is order a drink. After 10 minutes with not one of the 4 or 5 people in front of me being served, I bailed on getting a second beer. I’m assuming they were busy with the customers who had already ordered and were waiting for their food at the tables. We hadn’t planned on eating there but a number of people did tell us that the food was definitely worth waiting for. My suggestion then is to get both your food and drinks a little earlier and you will be all set!
