The Museum is in the main street well posted and on the day we visited we were able to park free for 2 hours on the road outside the entrance. Disabled friendly and does have a toilet.
Though the museum is small, they do have a very varied selection of items on view, the history of the town is fully explained and the displays range from early settlement to much more recent.
Entry is free, so they are happy for donations. Allow yourself a good hour to read all the literature.
There are several places locally around the Museum to have a coffee or something more, though we bought a baguette and a scotch egg from the local store and stopped just outside the town to eat it, and it was delicious all home cooked.

This small museum is good in a limited way. It concentrates on history with few, if any exhibits on 20th or 21st century matters.
Congratulations to the maker of the scale model of the town - its housing placements and shapes are commendable.

Wide variety of exhibits, well-curated and displayed. Range of subjects from early history of Bruton & its Priory, migrations (Ames family) to America, taxidermy, mills and local traders.
