This is a grand little museum staffed by volunteers. It is in the main street. Every now and then there are different exhibitions - the last time I visited it was needlework kneelers from the local church. You can find wooden carvings from churches, the desk Steinbeck wrote on when he stayed in Bruton, old toys and Dinkies, a model of the town, an old barber's chair, books and lots more.

Shown around by a very enthusiastic and knowledgeable volunteer guide this small museum was a tiny delight. An eclectic mix of items all connected with the village. Don't miss it.
