“Great Location”
Reviewed 8 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Spacious holiday rental in a great location. We stayed here with our three sons and our dog and we loved stepping out the back to the sea! Closer to great restaurants, pub and shops! We would come back here again!

“Wonderful stay!”

We stayed in Red Ridges with our grown up children and their partners. My husband and I stayed in the main bedroom and left the curtains open over night and awoke to the most beautiful sunrises.
We had thought that there was not going to be a freezer but there was. Whilst it wouldn't have bothered us if there wasn't it was a bonus to find there was.
We had some of my family over for a meal and we found that, while it was cosy, there was adequate space for 10 people to eat.
I loved the quirky bathroom with it's sloping ceiling.
The garage is accessible through a door in the hallway making an excellent pantry.
We found that there were adequate plates and cutlery so if this was a problem previously it had clearly been addressed.
Kessingland is an excellent base for walking and being on the beach or boat trips on Oulton Broad. Red Ridges is the perfect place for this with the back gate leading right on the beach and wonderful views. I would not hesitate to recommend this property.

“great location a few points need addressing”

I stayed here in 9th to 16th August, 3 adults and 6 kids agd range from 6 to 13.
Any queries I had for the owner, Sandra, were dealt with quickly and she was helpful and accomodating at all times.
On arriving at the house with our shopping we discovered there was no freezer or freezer compartment in fridge. A slight problem as we had ice and ice cream for the kids. When queried with Sandra she said it had broken and she was replacing it in september. The house was fully booked for the whole of August and im sure im not alone in saying a freezer is an essential in a holiday let and should have been replaced sooner.
There were plenty of utensils and knives and forks but only 8 plates, yes the house sleeps 8 but usually extra plates are needed for serving etc, so a few extra would be good. The cooker was new and was really good. The kitchen table only seats 6 but there was a breakfast bar area, still not great if you want to eat together as a family, wasnt a big problem for us.
The bedrooms. All the bedrooms were a very good size, 3 quite big double and a twin, but only the master bedroom has wardrobes, so you either have to put everybodys clothes in one room, (not very good if the person in that room is a late sleeper and the early riser ftom the other room needs to get dressed). There are no mirrors in 3 of the bedrooms and the bedroom that has the mirror had no plug near it. There are 2 windows in the twin bedroom but only pair of curtains purchased, fine if the windows are the same size but they arent so the curtain didnt close fully, same for the lounge. Curtains in main bed are thin so you wake when the sun does.
There were no locks on bathroom doors. The main bathroom, as stated does have a sloping ceiling so not good for anybody tall.
The house is in a great location, with lots to do in the area, we went to Africa alive and pleasurewood hills, both worth a visit.
Having no freezer was a big problem and had to buy ice daily, but if the little problems were fixed I would probably reccommend this property to friends because of the location and the owners quick response to any query I had.
