I have visited this cafe many times for breakfast or lunch. Many locals eat here which is a good recommendation for me. Their homemade scones and jam are delicious and can be bought to take home. Personally I find them hard to resist.
Well worth a visit on your journey towards the Wild Atlantic Way.

Thank Madeline M

we have been going to Dohertys cafe for several years now but recently it had changed in a bad way. Loud banging music is being played constantly and you cant even have a conversation with people at your table. Horrible experience and we are sad that we will no longer be able to go there due to the loud pounding music. We always come around 5PM and it's always very busy, with lots of locals eating there, but we were there on Saturday 14-04-18 around 5pm and the place was nearly empty, never seen it like that so other locals must also not like the new loud "atmosphere"as well, perhaps when they loose all their customers they will go back to how it was when people could come there and enjoy a meal and conversation with friends during dinner.

Good value for money and a wide variety of options to choose from. Friendly and helpful staff and nothing is a bother even though we had a fussy eater with us .
