We enjoyed our stay in this cozy house. I want to thank the owners for providing the condiments as well as cooking basics such as oil and butter, pancake mix and syrup. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were well equipped with towels, facial tissues, hand and bath soap, shampoo and conditioner. We also enjoyed having a washer and dryer. The house is in a very quiet residential area and very close to Davis Farmers Market (literally a few blocks away) where we could go food and gas shopping. It was also close to Zion National Park and a good base to get to Kolob Canyon (part of Zion), the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and Bryce Canyon (all within two hours distance more or less).
We stayed for 4 nights in September, a perfect time to visit Zion National Park. One should note that Zion is extremely crowded, which surprised us a little bit in September. So, for our weekend in the area, we decided to hike within the city of Hurricane. There is a fantastic bike trail called the Gooseberry Trail, and also an excellent walking trail called Hurricane Cliffs. Both highly recommended but a four-wheel drive vehicle would be ideal for Gooseberry Trail access. We used our sedan which was a little dicey.
Our stay at LV1 could not have been better. This is a spacious 3-bedroom house, all on one level, and a nice little green side note is that the house is powered by solar energy. A washer dryer is supplied! I enjoy cooking, and a full kitchen is available to guests which includes a microwave range with stove, blender, toaster, full size refrigerator, crock pot, double sink, coffee maker, dishwasher, and even a decent set of knives, though I carry my own when I travel. The owners leave the occupants ample supplies of the basics, like cooking oil, sugar, coffee filters, salt and pepper and some spices.
Access to the local Trails mentioned above is about a 10-minute drive, and Zion National Park is about 25 minutes away.
This is a great place, and it sure beats a cramped hotel room.
The unit was clean and as advertised. We appreciated the central air that worked perfectly. The king bed was comfortable with plenty of hot water on the bath for showers. The location was quiet. Each morning we had about a 20 minute easy drive to Zion park. We would go back to this rental.
The house had everything we needed. We still had to buy groceries, but they had all the essentials. I especially liked the soap/shampoo/conditioner dispensers in the showers.
And pancake batter, and syrup.
Wonderful 3 bedroom / 2 bath home. Bedding and furniture is new and clean. You can tell the owner's want you to feel at home. There was a welcome chalkboard, a map, night lights to guide the way, coffee and condiments available, as well as artificial flowers and other comfort touches. FYI - The Stage Coach Grille is nearby, it is a little pricey but the food is excellent if you want to splurge.
