We decided to take advantage of the beauty of the Grand Tetons by taking the Lake dinner cruise. We boarded a boat which provided covered seating and a few outside seats for about 20 passengers each on two boats. The ranger narrated the sights along the way including the usual safety lesson. We disembarked to a lush island where other rangers provided a delicious cookout completed with picnic tables covered with nice plastic cloths. Food was delicious with small steaks, grilled fish and roasted potatoes. Peach cobbler for dessert. Staff was friendly and if you desired, bringing your own wine or beer was allowed. If not, ice tea or lemonade was provided. Toilets were clean( a little more than porta potties). We had time to walk around and admire a few deer and pretty wildflowers. The evening was a real treat!!! There are directions and information on website or at the lodges.
