We stayed in a cabin with a rim partial view # 6150 for three nights. I made the reservation a year before our stay. Rustic but comfortable enough. Location is great for sunrise, sunsets and quick access to the trails for hiking. Staff was friendly and helpful. Check in was OK, we were early but our room was ready. Parking can be a problem, but we never moved our car during the whole stay. TV may have worked never cut it on, WiFi worked in one spot in the cabin according to my wife. If you are not looking for five star accommodation and are visiting the GC to experience the beauty, views and trails, this is the place to stay.

Stayed 2 nights on a recent family trip to the canyon. While the location is great, some of the experience left more to be desired. From a check in perspective, the communication from a room readiness perspective is rather poor and we had to go back numerous times to check with the desk seem unaware of the true status of the room.

The rooms are very small with only one bed and we had to get two rooms to accommodate our family of four. This worked ok and the prices are reasonable.

In terms of location. These can’t be beat right on the rim with quick access to the busses and bright angel trail.

Would stay again but would come with tempered expectations

The perfect place to stay when visiting the south rim. Clean, renovated, and so close to viewing mother nature at her best. The crowds were non existent at sunrise and sunset. Quiet, and comfortable. I didn't realize that it would not have AC, but even in june, it wasn't needed.

Right on the edge of the canyon,
Clean rooms, shared showers in the Powell Lodge but the best showers we’ve had so far by week 2 of our 3 week trip.
Really good value for money (accommodation in other National Parks is considerably more expensive).
Would highly highly recommend

I was expecting a lot more from this historic hotel. We stayed in a cabin and found the room still very hot during the night (June). The fan would only work throwing the air flow directly on you. The queen bed was small (and we have a queen bed at home!). Service: very average at front desk and main restaurant. In the main restaurant, for example, hosts were a bit lost to direct us to a table (restaurant was not full at all). At check-in, front desk sent someone to show us the way to the cabin as it was already dark. The guy took a dirt pathway in the middle of construction area as we were carrying our suitcases; we saw in the next morning that we could have taken the street where it would have been much easier to roll our luggage till our cabin.
