This is one of the most accessible campground. There is a lot of space between tent sites and it is close to the visitor center. We booked the tent only site which provides a grill but no electricity. There is a common restroom and drinking water facility in the campground.

The tent floor could be little rocky and not super smooth. A good quality sleeping bag with decent cushion between ground and person is advisable.

In October 2019 we went to Death Valley State Park in our MH we tried to stay at Stovepipe Wells but they were all booked. We continued down the road about 40 miles and came to Furnace Creek Campground , this campground is extremely well maintained and managed. We stayed here for two nights, the sites were very large and roomy we were not cramped at all. Highly recommend this campground to stay in Death Valley

This is one of the most popular campground in Death Valley National Park and this was our third time staying at this campground. Getting a campsite can be tricky since reservations are taken three to six months ahead. Most campsites are basic with only a picnic table and a fire pit. Tent camping isn't ideal as most tent sites are not located close to available parking. Restroom facilities are clean (somewhat) and well stocked with TP.
The best aspect of this campground is the location. Within walking distance is the visitors center and the Ranch which as a general store and showers ($10) for a day pass to the

Room tip: Check campsite map for location and the photo of the campsite before booking.

Lovely camp ground so hot, free water supplied, showers & toilets, you don't neet heated shower water hot enough. Lovely night time view of the stars, washing dry within a few minutes, temp was 117 degrees, lovely air cooled visitor centre a few minutes walk away.

First, the rant - why do so few people "advise" the best campsites? We all know the campgrounds will be noisy/quiet (depending on your neighbors that evening) and the bathrooms will be dirty/clean (same) but we really want to know where to stay.

That said, Site #119 is a walk-in of about 150' from the car across flat land. The adjacent sites are also good but I chose the most remote. You can have seclusion simply by placing the tent behind a tree cluster, or you can be in full view of your car throughout. All spots have a picnic table and fire pit and be the sunrises can be absolutely amazing.

Best of all, you can reserve sites online and there are no generators on the tent-only loop. Let's face it - generators are for people who don't wish to be in nature.
