After driving many miles through desert wasteland we came upon this ranch in the middle of nowhere, You have to wonder how and why this place came to be. Everything is extremely well kept and maintained, I would recommend staying here if you have time. There is so much to see in this National Park, take your time and enjoy.

The accommodations at the Ranch At Death Valley are simple but comfortable in the stark environs of Death Valley. It is nice to be able to retire to the controlled temperature of your room and comfort of your bed after a hot day of sight seeing.

The facility has a couple of places to eat and a small convenience store. The Saloon is a particularly interesting spot to dine at. Do prepare yourself for a potentially long wait at the front desk during peak check-in/check-out times

Not too many places in Furnace creek so we stayed at the Ranch. The Ranch was too expensive for what you get. Don't stay near golf course. They were out mowing at 6:30 am. No free coffee. Check in office was a 100 yard walk but still no coffee. They directed us to the store where it was $4. The 2nd floor room was really outdated and needs attention. Deck floors rotten and carpeting ripped and torn. Door to deck didn't work, had to get a maintenance guy. But, cheaper than other place and convenient for day trips.

Room tip: We wanted scenery. The motel units were near pool and plaza.

The bad: This is not a luxury hotel, but is expensive. The rooms are badly overdue for an upgrade/renovation. Food was expensive.

The good: we were really happy with our stay. The staff was friendly, the grounds and public spaces were nice and very clean. The kids had a great time in the pool! Yes, the buffet was overpriced, but there was plenty of food and it was fine. The location is perfect for visiting the park. The store had lots of options for snacks (even healthy stuff!) and supplies you might need.

Overall...it was expensive but we would stay here again.

The location is very convenient. Right in the middle practically. The service is very good. The front desk answered questions tirelessly and their security person - Ian, i think was his name, extremely fast in responding - once i had a concern with if where i parked was a legit parking space ( could mark the spaces better) and the other time was when i needed first aid for a big scratch on my leg. He was dutiful and kind.

The room was big and well layout. We had a nice view of the golf course.

I enjoyed my stay. Expensive but it is location, location, location.
