We were told by some friends of ours to book the Bryce Canyon 1/2 Day Peek-A-Boo Loop. That this was an exciting way the see the Canyon.
I can say that they were very truthful, because when we arrived at the Canyon we didn't have enough time to go site seeing before the ride. I am glad we didn't because when you come up the hill from the horse corral and you crest the top of the Canyon there is no better way of taking in all that beauty, then on top of a horse ride, it was truly breathtaking.
It was a experience that you will remember for life.
I hope everyone can enjoy Bryce Canyon this way, we had a great time!

Our family had a great time on this trail ride. The canyon is beautiful to see on horseback. Our guide kept checking in with our kids to make sure they were ok and happily went in search for an epi-pen that was lost along the trail. One warning- if you don't usually ride horses you will be sore for a few days.

We booked to do the three hour trail ride leaving at 8am. This is a really good time of day to go in summer as by mid morning the temperature is up in the nineties and there is little shade and you can't take drinks on the ride with you. We arrived at the Lodge to confirm our reservation as per the instructions on the website and we were then given instructions for getting down to the Corral. Definitely turn up the required amount of time beforehand as the rides are really busy so I would imagine your space would be re-allocated if you didn't register as specified online. The horses and mules all looked well cared for and we were given very basic instructions before leaving the Corral which is probably fine as the trail is very steep and narrow so it is walk only and I guess the horses are pretty well trained and know where they are going! The trail was amazing and I loved seeing the park from horseback. The only negative I have is that you are allocated a guide at the beginning of the ride and you set off in groups of 6 about 2 mins apart. Initially I thought the 'banter' by our guide was impromptu but by the time we were halfway through the ride the next group were right behind us and I could hear that their guide was coming out with exactly the same info and jokes as ours was which made the experience feel a little staged/forced. That said the ride was good and the scenery was amazing and it catered for all abilities. However, watch just how close to the edge your horse walks (the guides warn you that they like to walk right on the edge of the trails) as having seen the horse in front of me lose his footing and slip off the track its worth remembering that you do actually have to be able to steer your horse/mule and not rely on automatic pilot!

The kids enjoyed the ride. It went down into Bryce Canyon and covered more ground than one could do comfortably hiking.Great and unique scenery.
