Owner description: Arch which requires a 4.2-mile hike through challenging terrain.

The double arch was one of our areas of Arches National Park. It’s one of the areas people usually flock to first, so you might have a problem finding a parking spot. If I had to do it over again, I would wait till the early afternoon to go and avoid the huge crowds. Nevertheless, it was breathtaking and we had a great time. I would highly recommend...5 ⭐️’s.

The entrance to Double Arch is off the lower parking for the Windows area. It is a short, easy trail to the bottom of the arch. Double Arch is so dramatic and can be seen from the road and a long distance away. Double Arch was crowded and never empty of people, which made it less fun to visit.

We did this short hike with the kids late in the afternoon when it was shady. You can climb as much or as little as you want, but the drop off on the other side once you are up at the top looking through the arch is steep. This location was in the Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade movie.

We loved Arches National Park - my husband and our sons (15 and 12). We enjoyed all the hiking you can do throughout Arches. Lots of little climbs up to the arches. We never felt like there was even a moderate hike - all were easy. And very pretty!! Double Arch was pretty and so easy to walk to. Right next to Windows and Turret arches, which is where we watched the sunset. Just beautiful park!! Highly recommend a visit! We visited for a day and a half and felt like we saw everything we wanted to see. So glad we drove the extra hours up from Page AZ before heading to Bryce. So worth it.

Towering and huge, easily accessible from nearby parking.
Provided, of course, that you can actually find parking...
