This beach is a favorite as it's shallow edge makes a nice spot to take young children. The loon's nest was being watched by the Forest Service, which made it particularly interesting for all ages. Nice clean beach - ample changing and public restrooms.

First trip here was short. Apparently it was field trip day. Over 100 kids were there. Quickly left. However returned a few days later and spent the day. Nice, clean changing rooms and bathrooms. Beach is not huge but was not crowded when we went. Not a big parking lot. There is a ramp which was beneficial with a stroller. Very nice lifeguards. Water very clean and warm. There is an IGA about a half mile south of beach to get supplies if needed. Worth the drive but get there early.

Went to Echo Lake for a paddle. Dogs aren't allowed at Echo Lake Beach, but there is good parking at boat landing at Ike's Point and your dog can join you there.

Better than expected especially with fall leaves changing colors. Places to sit and take in a beautiful lake. Like it better than Jordan Pond actually and on the western half side of Acadia National Park.

We stopped by after a long day of exploring, and found that we had the entire beach to ourselves around 4:30pm on a Sunday evening in early October. It was a perfect last stop to our day, as there is no trail to walk, just a set of stairs to a wide sandy beach surrounded by pines. We enjoyed the view and our toddler loved throwing rocks across the lake. Definitely worth a quick stop as you tour the park!
