“Fantastic view, fantastic accommodation, fantastic holiday”

A perfect family holiday, despite the coldest feb in 20 years. The apartments have one of the most historic views in Valetta, with a daily reminder of the noon gun which can be viewed whilst sitting on the balcony. We were lucky arriving on the eve of festival and also had two hours of fireworks from the balcony, celebrating our arrival. Valetta is an easy bus trip away, the restaurants in the Marina a short water taxi ride away and the cafes on the harbour side a short stroll away. We booked because of the trip advisor reviews and can only add our thanks to Joe who helped out no end with our stay. Would highly recommend for families, suggest before you come book a slot to go underground at hypogeum, try firing a gun at Fort Rinella and take a water taxi around the harbour....the list goes on......but don't tell too many friends how good it is.........

This apartment is fabulous, the views of the harbour will blow you away The owner and his family are lovely, on hand to help but not intrusive. The area of Senglea is wonderful, get to know the real Malta, away from the tourist trail, there are good restaurant's within walking distance of the apartment,. there is a good bus service, lovely local shops If you want to go somewhere very special then you have found it. but Shhh !!! don't tell everyone its our secret.

“Unbelievable view..”

The other reviews have really said it all.. well appointed, lovely view (no, the photos really don't do it justice) and reasonably convenient. This place is well away from the main tourist drag and with the new bus system, it can take sometime to get to Sliema/ St Julians. This wasn't a major problem for us (walking down the main street there, you could just be in the UK with all the Monsoons, Zara etc) and there are plenty of little supermarkets around for milk etc. We would recommend hiring a car; maybe not directly from the airport as its a bit hard to find at first (Senglea and Isla are interchangable), but to get to Tarxien, Gozo etc, its much quicker. Parking is ok around the apartment whilst we were there.
We also had probably the best meal of the trip at a restaurant I think called Mariner or something similar. Its about 200 m down the waterfront. It was a seafood platter in wine and garlic which was more than enough for 2 of us.
Only slight thing - Joe if you are reading this you might want to review your pillows, they may not be to everyone's comfort. The lift was great as I was travelling with two 70 year olds.

Wow what an apartment we have booked apartments and villas for over 5 years, and sometimes you can be let down but with Joe's apartment this was definatly Not the case.

His description was spot on there was plenty of room inside with very comfortable furnishings ,we slept like babies in the kingsize beds, the view from the balcony was to die for so much to see from the balcony from water taxi's to giant cruise liners a great place to watch the world go by.When we were in the apartment after sight seeing we spent all of our time on it.so much so it was about 3 days before any of us sat on the luxury sofa and again it was very comfortable,
It is a quiet area nice for a relaxing holiday 5 mins walk you come across a couple of waterside cafe's that also have some entertainment at night food in these is what you would expect fair reasonably priced further along there is the Man U pub which shows football as you would expect from the name but they also do food which comes from the resturant next door which is also owned by Frankie and was an unexpected treasure the food was excellent and great value would highly recomend but beware they close on a Monday

“Fantastic place and locals very friendly”

The apartment was beautiful and the scenery amazing. Staying in this area was so relaxing and comfortable. The scenery of Valetta and the harbour was amazing and the kids were fascinated with the cruisers as they docked. Harbour area alive and something always happening. Locals very friendly and Isla is a beautiful part of Malta, "the real Malta". Buses and water taxis easily accessable to the rest of the Island.
Will be back!!!!!!!
