I love cooking so finding a cooking class in Japan was a must! I booked into Yayo and had the most wonderful authentic experience. Getting to her class was really easy and it was an excellent part of the experience to go to her apartment. Yayo was so incredibly generous, wise and accommodating. I recommend including the sake tasting to your package. It was wonderful! The whole experience was so much more than a cooking class and you'll leave very full!
Since returning to Australia I've been able to source all of the ingredients to recreate the dishes at a local gourmet ingredients store. I've now been having dashimaki and miso for breakfast everyday for a week!
Thank you Yayo.

My daughter and I recently visited Osaka and booked a cooking class with Yayo. We caught the train in Osaka Station and were met 3 stops later by Yayo. We walked a very short distance to her home where we did the class. We were treated more like guests in Yayo's home than students. Yayo's English is excellent and made the cooking class very easy to follow and fun. Thank you Yayo and Akane Chocolat (Guest Service Manager!). Great value for money

We had a great time cooking with Yayoi, very friendly, met us at the station to guide us to her lovely apartment, everything we made and the sake we tasted were delicious ( with lots of guidance from Yayoi) a highly recommended activity. Thank you Yayoi and Akane. 😀

Our group of four booked a sushi cooking class before arriving in Osaka. I was a little skeptical of how much we could learn about sushi in a few hours, but Yayoi did a great job covering the basics along with a lesson on daichi (soup stock) and japanese-style omelettes.

The class takes place in her home, where she has one room set aside for tea in the beginning, and the main area where we each took turns making omelettes and assembling sushi. She has done all of the prep work, so it's definitely more of an introduction than a challenge, but that's probably for the best since you'll be eating everything you make.

Yayoi was a wonderful hostess and we thoroughly enjoyed her class!

We has the most amazing time, Yayoi is the most friend welcoming professional ! Nothing was too much trouble for her. We had a small class of just the Two of us and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. We chose a beer and 4 sake tasting lesson. We made food that we have ever only gazed upon and never thought to try to make! We now have all the equipment that we need to replicate in our home. One of the highlights was shaving a huge piece of dried bonito!! Smelt amazing!
