Beautiful hotel located steps away from the sumo stadium. Room was clean and very spacious with lots of amenities. They even loan bicycle for free! Great hotel for the price! The breakfast was ¥500 and worth every yen. I highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed one night, able to walk in 15 minutes to International Port Terminal to catch Beetle to Pusan. Near Convention Center which had major convention, so surprised could get in with relatively late reservation. Friendly, efficient staff. Able to walk from subway, about 20 minutes on wide, well-lit street - felt safe. Room layout a little unusual, more like an apartment. Inexpensive VS other Fukuoka hotels on same date. Not included in my rate, but chose to pay for hotel breakfast. What a nice surprise - for only 500 yen, buffet, delicious with wide variety of items, even curry.
A bit distant from Hakata Station, Fukuoka Tower and Yahoo Dome, but efficient, relatively uncrowded subway and the "bonus" of walking exercise makes this a great place to stay.

Room tip: Higher floors have better view

Stayed for the first time with a group of foreign visitors. The hotel is quite new and very clean. The staff were very helpful. We enjoyed the stay so much. Will stay in this hotel again.
Bonus points: choose rooms facing the port that are located on a high floor. The view from rooms is very nice especially at night.

Stayed here for a week and a half with hubby for work. The hotel and lobby were clean, staff was very friendly and the room had quite a few amenities not in the U.S. hotel rooms, albeit the room was small. There was a double bed which was big enough for hubby and I, and we are average sized. There was a cook top surface, a decent sized fridge with small freezer, a mini microwave, a washer/dryer combo, a small closet and a small cabinet to store things in. The washer/dryer unit was in a room with the bathroom sink, with the toilet being in a very small separate room and the bathtub/shower area being in a second separate area. The toilet has the typical Japanese functionality - rinse buttons for both areas, courtesy flush noise and heated seat. We have learned that the proper Japanese etiquette is to shower off or wash your body first, to soak in their extremely deep tub, which isn't long enough to stretch out, but still nice. The bathroom has super sized containers of shampoo, conditioner and body soap.
There are also slippers near the door for you to use.
The room opens to an area that is open -air, so make sure you lock your door when you leave. There are twelve floors in the hotel. There are no restaurants that we saw on premise, but they do have an egg or curry breakfast for 500 Yen.
There is a 7-11 right around the block and a Family Mart which is close by. There are also nearby vending machines for drinks.
There are not alot of restaurants nearby, but Canal City Mall is about a 20-minute walk or an 800 yen or so taxi ride.
If you are in town to go to the Messe or Congress Center, they are only about a block away.
Staff speaks some English and are very friendly. If you need a taxi, you can ask them and they will call one for you and tell the taxi driver where you are trying to go. Make sure to take a hotel business card with you, so you can tell the taxi driver where you want to go to get back to the hotel. They call the taxi, you can wait in the lobby and when the taxi driver comes, most will come inside and check in with the hotel reception.
All in all, it was a pleasant stay. Clean, affordable with good amenities.

Room tip: Higher rooms have ocean views

As another reviews, the hotel location is near to Fukuoka Harbor, and Congress center (walk distance). I stayed for 5 nights to participate during the conference. The hotel is locate little bit away from the central district like Tenjin, but easily to walk in 10 - 15 minutes. The room decorate was like home (i.e., apartment) in standard Japanese. The room also have in-room kitchen (which no plate, and so on, and never use), microwave and huge size refrigerator. Toilet and shower room where separate and very cleanness. One thing to notice, no complimentary drink water in a room (but easy to buy just next door convenience store). The internet sometimes weak due to no-password and some of people in a nearby hotel also use the same unlock signal. Breakfast located in a next door restaurants in a same building, for the first day it was crowded, but the next day was fine. The choices are not much as the standard business hotel breakfast. I recommend for stay during the conference, or just before depart at Fukuoka International Harbor port.

Room tip: Select a higher floor for a great views
