Stayed here with group while visiting Fatima... It is a different type of ambiance which definitely has its perks.. Rooms are ok, little on small side. Breakfast is simple but tasty. The grounds leave a little to be desired- advertisments made to seem like this place is so much bigger. It is quite modern and clean- staff is somewhat friendly but seem a little annoyed if you have too many questions.. we had to switch a room as it was not appropriate with 2 unrelated people and a bathroom that did not offer privacy in room... Dinner prices (you have to pre-order) are nothing to brag about but very highly priced.. There is also, believe it or not a self serve bar- also overpriced. This hotel is in the middle of nowhere so you cannot truly walk anywhere.. need a car.. About 20 minutes from the Fatima shrine... Would not return here. If you are looking for a unique experience and want to spend a romantic time in your room only then this is the place for you.. it is very quaint, quiet..

We stayed in the hotel for two nights and enjoyed a couple of meals there. The staff is very nice and friendly. The different room types is very interesting, I thinkt none of them look the same. The cooking-lession was very interesting and we also got the recipes to cook it at home!

I found this hotel a real getaway. I loved our room that had views of the mountains around the hotel. The bath was lovely and bathroom very nice. The lounge and sitting area was very nice and relaxing. The choice of gin and tonics was really good and interesting. Our dinner was very healthy and delicious and was supplemented with a lovely bottle of organic red wine. Breakfast was very good with lots of different choices, even for gluten and dairy free person like myself.

What a great place and staff, it's a little hard to find but when you're there it's great.
A nice refreshing pool with enough shade for the Fatboy lazy bags after a day out.
You have to book your diner in advance because it's a small hotel (12 rooms) but the menu is known for every day so you know what's gone happen.
We enjoyed it on Monday and we got a in Port poached Pear with crumble and Goatcheese, Fried Bacalau Roll with Mussels and in a creamy leeksauce, with a nice Naranja crumble cream dessert, a nice bottle of Viño Brancka with it and we are happy!
There is a courtesy bar and nobody wants to abuse that!
This is how a hotel should be in our opinion

This is a wonderful hotel....beautifully designed and a great concept. We have stayed here twice and can not recommend it highly enough. The owners Rui and Rita are great "hosts" and the staff are very friendly. The Cooking Lesson option should not be missed.
The rooms all have individually created décor and are spacious and welcoming.
The Banho d'Aire Baths are lovely and we spent a great morning there just relaxing. They have cycling and horse riding available too (for an extra cost) but we did not have time as we were too busy relaxin!
The only think to note is that it is in the middle of Portugal so quite far from Lisbon airport but well worth the trip.

Room tip: Loved the Africa Room
