I asked for the Chettinad veg Thali and it was one of the most memorable meals I had in Chettinad across three days. Service is excellent - the place is very clean and authentically a family business. Just a five minute walk from Visalam hotel. The people who own and run this place will take very good care of you!

I am hoping this is the same restaurant as Sri NarayanaVilas in Kanadukathan (they seem to also have rooms). We had to dinners here. It is best to take a walk early in the evening, around 6 pm, speak to the manager and place an order for a good Chettinadu meal. We did this two time and the food was excellent. Particularly delicious were the crisp dosas with gravy from a mutton curry. The service of the staff was excellent. They also serve cold beer. Although they close by 9 pm, the staff are willing to serve if you request reservations in advance and let them know well in time. It is a small village where most places close by 9 pm

This is a nice hotel which serves delicious homely food in chettinad taste. The quantity of food is quite a lot and price is reasonable.

They serve the usual Chettinad fare but don't expect a lavish menu or spread. However, whatever they cook is like what they would serve to their own guests. Homely environment and care for diners, adds to the draw. Mutton Biryani is recommended besides all the others but the Birayani may take time to get done. They cook it as if they would do it for their own family members.
