Stayed here with my children in our motorhome.
Positives:
We had a warm welcome and the site itself is nice and very well maintained.
Nice, safe little playground.
Short walk into Roundwood village with shops and pubs.

Negatives:
The facilites were smelly, and not the cleanest especially the "Childrens only" bathroom (???) Children aren't allowed into the "adult" bathroom so I'm not sure how your kids are to have a shower.
Very pricey for such a basic site. We were charged €46 per night, which included a mandatory charge for Electric Hook Up that we didn't want or use. EHU is advertised as a €4 EXTRA, so to charge people for an "extra" that they don't want it is just greedy.
Some very bizarre rules for a potentially lovely site. So, unfortunately, we won't return

Room Tip: Beware of optional "extra" charges that aren't optional!

Thank you for your positive comments. Unfortunately children make a mess in the toilets from time to time, that and from a safety point of view, is why we have a separate toilets for children. Most parents really appreciate that children have the use of their own toilets. Of course children are allowed in the adult toilets and showers accompanied by an adult. Our prices have not changed for nearly ten years and are widely published.

“Rude owner” seems to pop up a lot in the reviews. But I didn’t find the owner/s rude at all, I found them pleasant to deal with and it’s obvious from the start that they have pride in their park. But !...there are a lot of rules, there are laminated rules everywhere which sort of takes the welcome feeling away. The park itself is in a beautiful setting, it is pristine and spotless with decent size pitches for all sizes of tent, caravan etc. The cost is what I would normally expect to pay which would include showers, WiFi etc. But in this park you have to pay extra for showers and WiFi, you also have to pay a security deposit of €50 cash on arrival. The facilities onsite, decent shower block and toilets. There is a separate toilet block for children and children are not allowed in the adults toilet, but my kids wouldn’t use the children’s toilets because they said they stank and the toilets where not getting flushed by younger kids. They is a tiny playground for under 12’s with 3 or 4 apparatus, ball games, bikes etc are not allowed anywhere on site. There is a large dining room with a fridge/freezer but no cooking facilities at all. The location of the site is perfect to base yourself for touring. Glendalough is just down the road, Wicklow Gaol, Glenroe farm and Bray only a 20 minute drive as well as Sally and Wicklow Gaps.
In summary this site is perfect for adults who want a quiet stay and do some touring, it is a pristine site in a beautiful setting. For a family with young kids, not so much because of the lack of facilities on the site for children.

Thank you for taking the time to give us a review. Our rules, like most parks, are common sense...... Don't Disturb Your Fellow Guests ..... Unfortunately, a very tiny minority need to be reminded of things like No Fires & No Noise apply for guests safety and security.

Clean, picturesque and close to Roundwood. However, the owner is difficult. Upon arrival, he read a long list of rules. He loves those rules. There are no welcoming smiles, no chat with the kids, no checking to see how you're getting on. There is however, abrupt interruptions, with torch, giving out about lit BBQ shortly after 10pm, kids kicking a ball etc. He is unpleasant. I feel sorry for tourists. He became convinced that we dumped bottles in to bottle bank at 1am, which we did not. We told him to check his cctv camera. I hope he did. We're considerate people but this man seems to dislike his customers. If you have children, this is not the site for you.

Not sure how you couldn't like this place. We've been many times and the owners have always been pleasant with us. We have small children and they go out of their way. Our son was sick around midnight and we had to go to the hospital. The owner helped us immensely. Being so close to Dublin helped as well. 25 minutes we were in Tallaght hospital.
The grounds are well kept, toilets and showe're always clean. Can't say enough!
