I have been meaning to write a review on Tamodi Lodge for some time. My wife and I stayed there in November 2017 and loved it. The place itself is one of a kind and the family that run it as well as the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. We originally just booked for 1 night as it was fully booked. When we got there we asked if there was any availability for a second night. It was still full, but they had almost finished building a new honeymoon cabin and let us stay an extra night in there. It was finished to a very high standard and felt very private, with amazing views over the valley that the property sits above. The setting and the hospitality were one of the highlights of our trip. There is also a great wine cellar, plenty of games and a restaurant by the beach which is a few minutes drive away.

We loved everything about Tamodi Lodge. It was the best part of our trip to South Africa.

We stayed in one of the detached suites & it was fabulous!
The room, the view, the bath, the outside shower, the walk-in wardrobe, the wood burner fire, the swing seat on the deck, the breakfast, the welcoming staff - all top notch.

We ate every night at Enrico's restaurant, just a short drive away - that was fantastic too.

Book now - you won't regret it (& make sure you check out Owen's wine cellar)!

Room tip: Detatched Honeymoon Suite 5 was brilliant.

Tamodi Lodge is one of the nicest places we've ever stayed. The hosts and staff are warm, cheerful, and helpful. The owners live basically on-site and have paid tremendous attention to detail in the design, construction, and operation of Tamodi. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed. The breakfasts were beautifully served and delicious. Tamodi has a variety of inviting common spaces for reading, chatting with other guests, lounging on the deck or overlooking the Infinity pool, or enjoying the fireplaces. We had very good dinners both nights at Enrico's, a short drive down the hill to the beach.
