I had the pleasure of staying at the Grand Hyatt Taipei a few days ago for 3 nights.
Had a little miscommunication with my special request for a super early checkin but due to the fact the hotel was running at full capacity they weren't able to fulfill my demand but they were able to still provide me with an early checkin even though they were jam packed. Stacys' and Masatos' service stood out to me the most, they even arranged takeout breakfast for us for our 6am checkout, very nice touch. Location wise this is the place to stay as it is connected via a skybridge to the Taipei 101 mall and Taipei 101 observatory. Taipei 101 was one of the most beautiful building i've ever seen and the mall below it has amazing shopping and great food. Be sure to check out Hawker Chans stall which is the first Hawker ever to receive a Michelin star. After the first day at Taipei 101 we took another skybridge that led to another mall, which led to another mall, which led to yet another mall. It's a great convenience to be able to shop from mall to mall without having to step foot to the exposed elements and sometimes the rain.More
