“Tranquil break by the sea”
Reviewed 5 March 2016 for a stay in September 2015

Having stayed several times at this cottage, most recently in September 2015 I would highly recommend this cottage. I have always found it well presented and clean. The kitchen is fabulously stocked for cooking whilst in the village.
There are great views of the sea from the living room which makes for a great spot to watch the sunset or the rain fall.
Located in the centre of the village we found it a great base to explore the village as well as further afield. There is so much to see in the area and it is well located for exploring on the west coast as well.
Will definitely be back for a peaceful break in the future.
On comment would be that a bench in the front to take in the sun and sea view would be a great addition!

“Worst holiday cottage”
Reviewed 18 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We arrived and left on Monday 10th August 2015. First impressions - the grass needed cutting, the garden tidied, dog mess cleaned up and the clothes whirly was almost at right angles. The back gate had to be lifted up to get the sneck to shut. When we opened the back door the first comment from our 8 and 10 year old granddaughters was " this place stinks" and it did. There was a foosty smell and an overpowering smell of fish as soon as we opened the door. There was no way we were going to stay. I have written and asked for a refund but got the usual I'm not accepting responsibility reply. I was utterly disgusted with the place and would NEVER recommend it.

“First Class Accomodation”
Reviewed 3 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Killearn Cottage. The house was very comfortable and well equipped and surprisingly spacious. It is ideally situated in Portmahomack with a. lovely view of the sea and only two minutes from the shop and the beach.

“Great house,loads of space.”
Reviewed 27 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We have stayed at 'The Port' many times but had not previously stayed in Killearn. It was a great space for three generations of our family to stay without feeling we were on top of each other.Everything you could need was here and we even got the sun.Great big garden also where we had a BBQ with other family members and plenty of room for all of us.We would definitely return.

“Very clean, quiet and well equipped little cottage.”
Reviewed 12 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

We've just spent a week in killearn cottage with our 3 kids. It was in a great location, just a 2 minute walk from the shop, park, beach and little village pub. It's a small little village with not a lot to do but if it's a nice quiet time away with your family or friends then this is ideal. The cottage was well equipped and the care takers carol and John were at the end of the phone I'd needed. The garden at the back is lovely and big which you don't see from any of the photos. We will definitely be back at this cottage again.
