This visit must be booked and access is via a jeep/guide only. It is a really good insight into the workings of a quinta in one of the remotest parts of the Douro Superior. There is a very interesting museum which has a display of the Roman artefacts found on the site, and the tasting was very good. An experience off the beaten track!
[Please check Zip Code, as I couldn't find it online, so gave the Lodge in Vila Nova de Gaia instead. The nearest town is Castelo Melhor, I think]
