“Relaxing holiday”
Reviewed 11 July 2017 for a stay in July 2017

We had a wonderful stay at Daisy cottage (4 adults). Very quiet & peaceful. Cottage clean & well equipped, not far from local beaches. Thanks to the owners for the complimentary scones, jam & cream (along with the milk), which were very much appreciated.

“A comfortable cottage in a rural setting.”
Reviewed 27 April 2017 for a stay in April 2017

This cottage is set in the countryside and is reached by very narrow , twisting lanes. For us Canadians, this was a little daunting at first. However, a main road is only about five minutes away and we came to realize that the locals can stop on a dime and are quick to back up to where there is room to pass. This was a relief to my 82 year old husband who found backing up in our rental car a challenge.
The location is close to many attractions, and we particularly enjoyed Lyme Regis, the Beer Quarry Caves and the Seaton Tramway. The countryside everywhere is just gorgeous and we had a week of sunshine to boot.
The accommodation is very comfortable. However, for seniors, be aware that the bathroom is downstairs and the bedrooms up stairs. The heated bathroom floor was a real plus though. Altogether, we had a lovely stay here and we would not hesitate to come back if we got the chance.

“Excellent little cottage, very pleasant stay”

Daisy Cottage is near Colyton,South Devon, quite a remote location but we like the quietness. It is a lovely little cottage, very well equipped and Tony the owner always checks if we are okay and have everything we need. It has wonderful views and is a short drive to the Seaton Tramway and is not too far from Dawlish where we like to go. Local pub The White Hart is a very pleasant place to drop in for a quick drink too.

As an ex pat I have to travel back to Devon 3/4 times a year and have tried various cottages before I was lucky enough to find this one (Daisy) run by Sue and Tony.
The cottage is always clean and tidy with fresh jam and scones waiting for you
Tony and Sue leave you alone but always respond very quickly if there's any need for help
plenty of logs already cut for you for the fire but there are more than enough storage heaters around the cottage, plenty of fresh spare bedding overhaul I always look forward to going back there every time to me its like a second home
