We had two nights in a lovely room with private bath and parking right at the door. Dinner is really lovely and the breakfast extremely varied with good ingredients. Rold Gl. Kro is located in the middle of a lovely nature area, which invites to be experienced. We give our best recommendation.

Good food. Great breakfast with alot of different selections.

Ok rooms and beds. If your stay is over two days, more comfortable beds and sofa would be appreciated.

Free wifi internet is a great plus.

This is your typical Danish "kro"; a little worn, but full of charm and atmosphere. Friendly staff and delicious breakfast - the bread is amazing, the jam is homemade. The dinner we had the night before was so so, and overpriced... Rooms are big enough, but could be cleaner...and avoid leaving the door open for even a minute, because your room will be filled with mosquitoes. The rooms are equipped with fly swatters for a reason. The walls are paper thin, and if the person in the room next door snores you will hear it. Curtains are white and let a lot of light in at night, if you're sensitive to that sort of thing. But this is a great place to stop for a night if you're driving through Denmark, and I will definitely return!

I stayed overnight, since I did not want to go into Aarhus looking for lodging. Rold Kro is about an hour's drive outside that city. Rold Kro has reception and dining room(s) in the older structure, while bedrooms are in a newer annex. The rooms are clean and with the facilities you would expect. You park your car directly outside of your room. The wifi connection worked well, but you have to log in to a server with a somewhat more cumbersome process than usual. Dinner was good and served with a smile. Attendance was prompt. I would use it again, though I concur with the person who says that one night is enough.

Stayed ome night 14th July 14. Nice warm welcome , shown room and asked if I would like to eat evening dinner all with a smile. Room was in the annex , ok standard slightly worn but ok. Had a very good and large helping , meal with local beer from Aalborg Brewary. Slept very well but curtains were thin and did not keep out the light but thats just me being abit fussy. Some of the review are well over the top. This is a country inn not a city hotel. I was late up so didnt make breakfast but got a free treat bag , water and an apple and some local info leaflets , again with a big smile from the Inn keeper. So all in all very good.
