“A holiday location doesn't come any better.”
Reviewed 15 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

How does one find words that adequately describe this wonderful place to spend a holiday in 'la belle France'? From the moment our party arrived - all nine of us - we fell under the spell of the location, the house and, most of all, the views.
We have to agree totally with the comments made in other reviews, so there is not much more to add. However, one piece of advice - if one is arriving by car it is better to back into the parking of the villa. There is a turning place about 200 yards beyond the entrance.

“A great place to stay”
Reviewed 12 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

La Piccada is a great base for a holiday, especially for a group of adults. A very pleasant and well equipped villa, with a wonderful outlook across a wooded valley. There are some steep and narrow roads in the area, so bring a small car and pay for insurance. St Jeannet is a beautiful old village, not too over-run with tourists, but with a boulangerie within walking distance of the villa, cafes, excellent restaurant, some shops etc. Some excellent walks in the area and lots of alternative day trips. Alex and Ed looked after us well.

“Perfect house for a family vacation!”
Reviewed 27 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

My family spent 9 days at La Piccada in May 2015. We were 4 grown-ups and two kids. La Piccada was the perfect vacation home for the family. We enjoyed the outdoor area. The kids were playing by the pool, and we spent a couple of nights BBQ-ing on the terrace. We had 3-4 lunches and dinners at the restaurants in the old town of St Jeannet, just 10 minutes walk from the house. Above the village there are beautiful trails that allow for short and long hikes. With a rental car you are just a short drive, 25-40 minutes, away from Nice, Cannes, Antibes and Monaco. The hosts, Alex and her husband, were very accommodating and provided us with tips and maps of various places to visit. Absolutely a place that we would recommend to others!

“Great family holiday”
Reviewed 31 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

La Piccada provided an ideal location for our 3 generation extended family trip - which included over 60s, teenage boys and under 5s. The pool was the focus of daily activity involving us all from serious swimming to horseplay . Really enjoyed the fact we could walk to the village in the morning for bread, pastries, goodies from the traiteur and in the evening for meals at the three restaurants particularly La Table des Baous.

It was a great base for hiking trips, and sorties to Cannes, Monaco , and to do jumping into pools near waterfalls. The teenage boys want to do another holiday just like it !
