We dined at the Royal Hotel at the end of a 6-week road trip, and can honestly say that it was the best meal we had during this time. We had the five course dinner, starting with grilled goat's cheese, tiger prawns were next, then kingklip, pork belly and finished off with Dutch Apple tart and homemade ice cream. This was all for the incredible price of R198 per head! The service was wonderful, with just enough time between courses. There was an interesting wine list, leaning towards the local area and we enjoyed a delicious Sauvignon blanc, Strandveld from their Elim vineyards. All-in-all, an epic dinner to end of an epic holiday.
