A beautifully restored house - tastefully decorated with all the mod cons. The host, Betty was fabulous and provided a great introduction to the house and to the region.
Great views from the balcony and the bedrooms. Lovely garden and at night was warm enough to eat outside. Swam at the nearby river in Gois and had dinner on the water while listening to some local musicians.
Central Portugal - Casa Amarela, is a hidden gem that we hope to come back to.
Casa Amarela is a real gem in the area of river beaches and schist villages in Central Portugal where we spent our holiday. We were attracted by the style of this manor house which was recently renovated and equipped with stylish furniture, comfortable beds and all the appliances you can think of to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Our favourite rooms were the 1st floor bedrooms with balcony views of the sunrise.
We spent a lot of our time in the garden enjoying the shade of the fruit trees, accompanied by the many birds that seem to like this area too. We also spent a lot of time swimming in the near-by river beaches.
Our host, Betti, gave us a warm greeting and provided fantastic information and tips of the region. We will certainly come back again!
