I have stayed here several times and intend to go back again. The bunkhouse rooms I have seen sleep up to 4 people with reasonable space. The drying room is excellent and the kitchen is huge, with a full range of equipment and more fridge space than I've seen in any other hostel. The price is perhaps a little higher than those of most independent hostels, but it's worth the extra pound or two.
The owners are very friendly and it has the advantage of being attached to a pub which has usually got a real ale on draught, a range of interesting bottled beers and serves excellent food at reasonable prices. The smoked salmon with mustard and whisky cream cheese is absolutely fantastic.
One tip, if you are planning to eat there - check the time of last orders for food. If the place is quiet, it may stop serving food earlier than you would expect.More
