Great place to stay on our trip to Dominica! The cottages were very nice. The views of the Atlantic Ocean were amazing! Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The natural pool was awesome, and very refreshing!

We loved the wooden cottages, the views, the sound of the sea, the very friendly people...We could stay for hours on the 'beach' looking at the waves crashing on the rocks.
Yvonne and Louis are a very nice couple who want to help the people of the village by giving them work in the hotel and restaurant. They are all very helpful.
We never go back to the same place but this could be the exception!

A breathtakingly beautiful natural retreat, nestled between the mountains and the sea, in the heart of Dominica's Kalinago Territory.

Beautiful cabins built of fragrant local red cedar, with heartstopping views of the wild Atlantic Ocean. Aywasi is a feast for the senses, and offers guests the opportunity to step back in time, and connect with the Caribbean's ancient First People: the Kalinago.

Delicious local delicacies can be enjoyed at breakfast, served family-style, under a canopy of trees covering a cedar structure. Louis, Yvonne, Emma, and Ishmael will treat you like honored guests, and spoil you like family.

Explore Kalinago history at the nearby Kalinago Barana Autê Museum, and venture further afield in Salybia for lunch and dinner at charming local eateries.

You will not regret you came!

The retreat is wonderful! The huts are tidy and clean and well-equipped. Staff is more than great: they help you with tours, prepare meals and take full care of you. They are very sweet! In addition to that, they especially organize whale watching tours!! The exterior is nothing but stunning: The view on the atlantic ocean, the jungle - everything is breathtaking.

Just as the name states, it is indeed a Kalinago Retreat. It gives you a feel of how the Kalinago people lived long ago. I got a chance to taste some cassava bread which is really good. The view is breath taking. You connect with nature and every one here is so nice
