If I hadn’t paid for my trip in full through Trip advisor I would’ve left and booked at Marriott instead. Absolutely frustrated with the service provided. We had booked what showed to be a suite, not specified which kind we would receive. Upon arrival we were told there were only 3 suites left in the whole resort. We were also told the time share members get priority in rooms. Way to make us feel special Villa! If we wanted an ocean view suite it would be $100 more per day in addition to $10 per day per device of WiFi. I had called 2 weeks in advance and told them it was our anniversary and would like an upgrade. About an hour after talking to the manager at check in, who questioned everything I stated, he blamed the company who I booked with for the accommodations received which is a “garden view” this garden view should be called “dirty pond view” instead. If you are like us, looking for a stress free couples getaway without being a time share owner, do yourself a favor and don’t book here. Ever! Thanks for the not so wonderful memories villa del palmar. Horrible customer service!!

This was our second time staying at this resort. In general the resort is beautiful and the food is fantastic! However, please keep in mind that the beach is not great at all, so if it is beach you want, this is not the place for you. The pools were great and well maintained with great service, excellent for the kids and parents!
We noticed a few things different from our first time that we didn't like...no Wi-Fi in the rooms or lobby and if you opt to pay, it is a fee per device. We paid a lot more this time around and received a very small room (considering we were 2 adults and 2 toddlers). The mosquitos were pretty bad there, which is not their fault at all, however, we recommend spraying earlier than waiting it out...We went to the Isla Mujeres to enjoy the beach and went on the strip for a couple of outings. Overall a nice and relaxing time.

Wonderfully appointed rooms. Amazingly attentive staff, restaurants are all beyond expectations. That being said, I was so pleasantly surprised at all levels with this resort. We were on a family junket with our daughter and the teen age grandkids. It went off without a hitch. We used the spa, with great pleasure. The pool side service was friendly and responsive. We also loved the fact it wasn’t just another hotel in the hotel area. We felt special the whole time. Every room has a view and a hammock on the lanai. Wonderful.

Spent 4 days at the villa del palmar cancun with my wife and two kids. We relaxed at the pool everyday and were taken care of by Moises (pool butler) and Luis (poolside waiter/server) I recommend you find these guys and sit in their section...it wont be a mistake and there are chairs and pool umbrellas everywhere...just take care of them and they will surely take care of you and your family...i was checked on every twenty minutes and midway through the day moises but a fresh set a towels out and adjusted the umbrella to ensure i was in the shade...never in all my vacations has this happened!!! Great hotel, staff was excellent in all restaurants, very clean...my housekeeper did an excellent job...left the kids animals on a daily basis made out of towels...they loved it...there are lots of deals out there for this resort...take advantage of the deals even if you have to sit through a timeshare presentation...its well worth it..

The activities staff at Villa Del Palmar do such an outstanding job! The trio of Ana, Dora, and Raymundo keep the action going each day. We participated in the water aerobics and salsa dance lessons. There was also pool & beach volleyball and bingo. They also stroll thru the pool area visiting and really getting to know the guests. They are all so friendly and really make the activities fun. You Rock Ana. Thank you so much!
