Seeing the spices growing in their natural state, hearing the story of the farm, buying the honey, the plants and the spices. I totally love this experience! This is a must do for anyone visiting the area.

Our guide Fidel was very knowledgeable and made our tour very fun. We smelled and saw lotus flowers, yanglang, different types of ginger and other flowers I can’t remember. We chewed on cinnamon leaves, delicious, tasted fresh pepper corn and cardamom, saw coffee and vanilla being grown. The orange juice at the end of the tour was amazing and we spent a ton on spices from the shop. Highly recommend.

The spices you can buy in the gift shop are FULL SIZE BAGS of really fresh spices and coffee grown using organic and sustainable farming practices and they range between $2-14. Crazy. Then, after buying a million bags of spices we went on the tour. So fun. I’d absolutely recommend this as a tourist destination to anyone coming to the country.

It was a pleasure to take the tour of the spice farm with Antonio. He is about the nicest person you’ll ever meet. The farm is gorgeous and the tour is fascinating, if you are at all interested in plants or spices. The interior of the main building is gorgeous, made from local woods. We got to eat or smell all kinds of raw spices and plants, like cinnamon, lemongrass, cocoa, miracle tree, tree of life... We highly recommend this tour!

Thanks for an excellent review. Antonio is one of our star guides. He constantly educate himself . He learned about Birds in Belize and has become an expert on Belize Birds. Same go for Spices. We are lucky to have him with us. He is also the Alkalde for Golden Stream village ,elected by the community. Alkalde is the counterpart of a Mayor in city. He with the help of his village council run the village affairs. .I believe a great model of Democracy.
