Had a lovely stay at Charihandra. It is aprox 20 km from Addo main gate. Lucy, the giraffe is always a treat. She and her family came to visit on 2 of the 3 days we spent there. She must be the most photographed giraffe in South Africa now. Lovely accommodation. Self cater and also restaurant on site. It is under new management. Only negative comments I can make is that some rubble was visible ie empty cool drink bottles etc and the wine selection was very limited and not the best of wine. However, still will return any day. Great accommodation.

A super self catering cottage with a fully equipped kitchen except no oven, instead they have a great microwave to use. Giraffes who come and visit daily, some Nyalas and Impalas to watch from the fantastic viewing deck and a cozy braai area. Not far from Addo National Park. Enjoyed an excellent dinner one evening, very hospitable service, will definitely return again!

Beautiful place. Loved it there, however, staff lack finer touches for example the clothes they are wearing. Reception is not well administrated - we came in through the kitchen. Breakfast was very good and more than enough. Dinner was totally overpriced - again the finer touches lacked. Chicken was overcooked and there were way to much couscous on the plate. They can improve on the taste, but still a good plate of food. I will still recommend guests to visit. Lovely surroundings and near the Addo.

My family and I travelled to South Africa and were really keen to experience the African bush but in comfort! It was everything and more we were hoping for! Rooms were great, food was great and so was the service! The highlight of our stay was quad biking through the bush on a private safari learning about all the animals we passed by and encountering a wild giraffe named Lucy who visits every morning- she ate right out of my sons hand- such an amazing and special experience!
