Great and spacious apartment. Observations for you would be; a good 20 minute walk to Kata Beach along a windy and busy road. Lots or restaurants along the way with local laundry(very cheap and good), massage parlors and bars. Just take it easy. On the way back, it is up hill so expect it to be slower. Local taxis charge 200 baht and price is now regulated. Beach is a delight. Local manager (Mr Nut) very helpful and has local taxi service. Use him to visit local places. His charges are fair. Recommend visiting Phi Phi Island for an overnight trip to enjoy the tranquil beaches and scenery. Overall, very pleasant with no real grumbles worth mentioning. Excellent pool at apartment.
I recently stayed 10 nights in a two bedroom apartment at Kata Kiwi Roo with my family. The apartment is about 1km from Kata beach and set on a small hill, which provided great views of the Kata area and of the New Years Eve fireworks (which were amazing). For those who are not particularly mobile there are some stairs that need to be negotiated to get to the apartment level. The complex is made up of 2 x 2 bedrooms apartments and 2 x 1 bedroom apartments. The 2 bedroom apartment is very spacious and included a large family bathroom and ensuite bathroom. The separate family TV area included a large lounge, dinner table and 8 chairs. The kitchen included a full fridge, stove top, small oven, kettle and toaster, as well as all plates and cutlery. More than enough space for the entire clan. The bedrooms had massive King sized beds and plenty of space for a rollout bed or portable cot. The pool was great and really refreshing after a day of touring. The entire complex was very clean, and well maintained, and included a few little nooks to sit and enjoy a beverage of two in the afternoon. Our host for the 10 days, Nut, was amazing and really looked after us for the entire stay. He can also help with tours and recommendations of what to do and see. More the cleaning lady was also very friendly and looked after us too. There are a number of restaurant choices nearby, and a 7/11 within 200 meters. I would really recommend these apartments if you like a bit of privacy, and don’t mind a bit of a morning walk to the beautiful Kata beach.
This is the second time we have stayed at this apartment and have been very happy. The apartment is very comfortable, spotlessly clean and well maintained. Everything is thought of, and if you do need anything Mr Nut is always there to help. The property is close to the shops, bars and good restaurants. Daily housekeeping is a bonus, and the cleaning lady is excellent. We will be back again!
Spent 3 wonderful days here in June-Mr Nut again went above and beyond normal service his recommendation for the Italian down in Kuta town was first class.Weather was great the pool was pleasant on very hot days.
Our stay at KataKiwiRoo was more than we could have imagined. The photos on the website do not lie. Good value.
An inviting pool, roomy one / two bedroom villas with a fully equipped kitchen. The general setting and decorations are clean and modern. The bed very comfortable. The villas are cleaned daily. The location is private and quiet.
It's about 1500 metres to Kata Beach. There's a plethora of food options; Thai, fusion and international cuisines. All are a short walk from the villa.
The ever helpful Mr Nut (driver who is also the onsite manager of the villas) was always on hand to make our holiday smooth. He also hires motorcycles at a very competitive rate. His airport pick up drop off service was efficient.
