We chose to stay at Baan St Tropez for our family reunion over Christmas and New Year. We were 2 families of 5 each with 3 adult children. The place is beautiful. Spacious, clean and modern. The rim flow pool and covered patio were the perfect places to gather and were put to good use. It is situated quite high up a steep hill and about 2kms from the main Kata Beach. This is a positive as the views were lovely and it was nice to escape from the heat and the hustle and bustle of the town. We hired scooters which made it very easy to get around and on occasion walked down to the beach and shops. All the rooms have airconditioners which are a must in the heat. The kitchen, while fairly well equipped, could be stocked with a few more useful items such as a toaster and more than the minimum 10 knives and 10 forks. The staff Moon and Ha (sp?) were very helpful and polite and the owner Thornchya was a pleasure to deal with. She helped by booking our transport to Patong as well as to the airport early on New Years day. She also delivered groceries and beers in her car when transporting them by scooter was a problem. When booking bear in mind that 4 of the 5 bedrooms either have king or queen sized beds and other than the very small "back room" which has a double bunk none of the rooms have 2 single beds. It wasn't a problem as siblings shared but this may not suit some guests travelling in a group. If there was any improvement to be made it would be to add a bigger dining-room table as the house sleeps 10 but the table seats 8. I would definitely recommend Baan St Tropez to anyone looking for a spacious villa in Kata Beach.
Staff was very kind
The house is just perfect, I recommand this house for holiday and more
Thank you very much
We stayed here in June/July of 2017. We immediately loved this place and the staff seemed friendly enough. Over the ensuing days we had a constant stream of cleaners come through the house twice a day to clean which was great but not necessary at 7.30am when we were trying to sleep in. On checkout we received an exorbitant $350AUD invoice for electricity used over 10 days. The 7 baht rate is no where near accurate and would equate to $10,000AUD of electricity costs per annum which is obscene and not even close to relative usage. The meter they use to calculate this price is clearly incorrect. When we questioned the owner on the day of checkout they advised us this was the rate and refused to even talk to us. Instead the owner said that we were running all air conditioners all day every day to justify their price. This would be silly given we spent 6 out of the 10 days at the beach and on tours!!!! So, I would never stay here again due to the owners dishonestly, nor would I ever recommend this place again.
