The hotel is horrible, dirty & I would happily rather take a short weekend trip to Syria than go back and deal with the customer service at PYR. The manager blocked us from our rooms after we all left on our 2nd day, kicked 18 people out for noise complaints, wouldn't show us the written report he held in his hands and then took £500 cash off 4 rooms that could stay. It was to our surprise that by the end of the 2nd day, they had filled the rooms with families with children. They make their own rules!

This hotel claims to be a family facility, however its dirty and dingy. Although made homeless after our first night, I would have considered sleeping rough in the first place as I found hairs on the pillows, stains on the sheets and grime in the shower. If your excited by the prospect of spending your family holiday in the pharmacy with your children, then PYR will definitely be a great place to start.

Although not with family, I saw the staff shouted at kids, and Ive genuinely seen better food in hospitals.

Room tip: The streets would be better.

After paying to check in at 2pm we had to wait until after 4pm for most of our rooms which we didn’t really complain to much about considering we had paid for pool party. After we arrived back after the night out we all went back to our rooms (which were all together) there was noise obviously as there was 24 of us but nothing excessive. In the morning went for breakfast walked passed reception nothing was said. When we returned the hotel had disabled most of our room keys and told us we had to leave refusing to give us a reason and saying they would call the police if we weren’t gone in 10 mins. After leaving we found out from the rooms that were allowed to stay that our rooms had been taken by families which leads me to belive the hotel had simply double booked and didn’t want to lose the money.

Just got back from a few days in Marbella and stayed at this hotel, after the first night we went for breakfast in the morning to return and all our cards keys for the rooms had been deactivated. The manager told us we had to leave with no explanation as to why, telling us the police would be called if we didn’t leave, leaving us with a short space of time to find and pay for a whole new hotel which turned out to be a nightmare. Since returning we have been given an explanation on request with times of noice complaints, which is funny because we were actually out at that exact time and for a few hours after. The staff were extreamly rude and have a clear dislike for English as this has happened to another two groups which we managed to find on Facebook.

Avoid at all costs

Stayed at the PYR Marbella this weekend just gone, after our first night our group left the hotel for breakfast to return to our room keys all being disabled and locked out of our rooms.

Upon asking management what was going on, they would not tell us a reason for what we had done wrong only to tell us 6 rooms(18 guests) were no longer welcome to stay at the hotel and must leave immediately, with no warning or second chance or even reason to what we had done wrong, the only answer was ‘two people from your group will know why’ so why were they evicting 18 of our party for two peoples actions which they would still not tell us what they were...

They let 2 rooms of our party stay at the hotel but demanded €500 as a cash deposit from each room in order to stay which I totally didn’t understand, if we were such a bad group why would they risk having us to continue to stay there.

The thing that was odd about all this was after an hour or so of trying to reason with the hotel and our party packing ready to leave their rooms, there was already guests trying to get into our rooms which we were still trying to empty of our stuff, seems to me like they had possibly double booked our rooms out and they’ve used us as a scapegoat out of their own error which quite frankly ruined the rest of our trip, people were having to pay up to €400 per person for two more nights in other hotels with limited availability dotted all over the place.

The way the hotel treated us was absolutely disgraceful with no real reason given to us for their actions towards our group. It seems like they’ve made a mistake and tried their luck with a middle aged group of men rather than tell groups of families they have no availability for them.

We was a large group of 25 on a stag.
The hotel was happy to take the booking knowing this. It was a group booking so they knew from the start.

When we arrived we was met with a very unhelpful reception staff who said 3 of the rooms. They had put us all next to each so we sorted it out between ourselves.

The next morning we all meet by the pool then we for breakfast outside the hotel. No one stopped us on the way out to say there was a problem.

Once we got back to the hotel every room on our booking was locked out

We was told the manager wanted to a meeting. Only 15 of us was there as the others was still at breakfast.
He walked over sat down and said you can not stay here. Pack your stuff and leave.
He they got up and walked off I found him incredible arregent and obnoxious.
We later was given a sheet in Spanish saying all the complains
They said all the rooms where called and told 2/3 times. This is a lie. No one in the group was even home at the times they said.
They changed there story 2/3 time when we finally got to speak to someone.

Please avoid this hotel at all cost and clearly this isn’t first and won’t be the last.
