The cottage is beautiful and so clean inside with a gorgeous log fire!!! I was over the moon to know they had animals baby lamb and sheep and féw other's they where at the front gate on our way out think it was a sign from them saying for us not to go haha!!.. also we got talking to juliets son very down to earth and passionet about the country, thankyou to him for spending time with us we enjoyed talking to you
This time away has made me réalise why i love thé country side & wildlife.
Our first time staying at this property and it was wonderful. We both wish we could live in it. Very comfortable, well furnished and located within stunning scenery.
Lots of walks right on the door step and Leyburn/Hawes just a short drive away.
Cant wait to go back and hide in this tranquil setting.
Don't rely on getting a mobile phone signal though, I had no access at all which was great! !!!

My boyfriend and I have been to stay at The Bothy twice... We love it! Its a lovely cosy cottage and it's very clean with fresh bedding and towels provided. We love the log fire, we've stayed in winter both times so used it alot :) The first time we stayed was for my birthday so Darren arranged with Juliet to have flowers and champagne on the table for when we arrived which was lovely of her to do for us! Would highly recommend! We will be going back again in Jan! :D
We stayed two nights at the Bothy, no one was at home when we arrived. Strangely no one called at all, whilst we were there. OK it's nice to be left alone, however a "did you find us OK" or "nice to see you, thanks for coming" would have been nice. We did see someone feeding the one chicken later in the day.
Everything you need for the duration appears to be in place, a can of fly spray would have been handy on the first night, the windows had been left open and our winged friends had moved in.
All the important things like towels and bedding were clean and fresh. Some other areas needed a clean up. I suspect its was because the season was coming to an end.
We did enjoy our stay and would recommend it to our friends.
The water out of the taps was a little brown (off putting) bottled water was supposed to be in the fridge according to the room inventory, but it wasn't, I suspect it would be fine, however I boiled it just in case.
If you are visiting this area for the Antique shops, forget it. The few we found were just junk shops.
The falls were by far the bet bit and well worth seeing.
