We had a very pleasant stay. Booking and communication with the manager of the property was very smooth and he guided us to the property after a welcome drink in the bar in Scopello and explained everything in excellent English (very unusual for Sicily!). The villa is located in the hills with a great view and sunshine the whole day. The pool is very small but nice and the gardens well kept with comfortable garden furniture and many different sitting areas to suit the needs of the various family members.
The house itself is well laid out. One negative point is that the kitchen was not very well equipped. The pantry should be cleaned out of old broken electrical appliances and overdue food and a few pots and pans and cooking essentials such as salt and sugar added. That would make cooking much easier.
Another issue was the charge for used electricity. As far as I know it was not mentioned during the booking that we would have to pay extra for any electricity used above a certain limit. And this limit included the electricity used for the swimming pool pump which was completely outside our control. So in fact we just paid 50 euro extra for the property despite using the airco very sparingly.
All in all we had a very enjoyable week.
