“A delightful quiet retreat”

My daughter stayed here earlier and so we have stayed twice since. The secure remote gated property and garage offer security and quiet which we like. The villa joined to the larger house on the property by an entrance and hall now blocked off was always quiet and comfortable. The spacious kitchen allowed us to enjoy both indoor and outdoor dining with supermarket as well as loads of restaurants ten minutes walk to the beautiful Noosaville river walk. The double spa bath had plenty of hot water for us to enjoy. What I look for most is a comfortable bed and this one was great. You can wake up in the morning in this really comfortable king bed feeling well slept and look out through your covered deck to the colourful waterway and gardens. Every thing had space and convenience, tv up and downstairs, laundry, kitchen worked well. I coped well with stairs and there was a toilet on both floors for a guy like me. We enjoyed it immensely.
The onsite owner was very helpful when asked, but inconspicuous otherwise.
We'll go back this year, only its proving more popular than I thought. Have to adapt my booking time a little,
Graeme

“The worst I have been treated in many years of holiday home rentals - avoid!”

Be very careful if you are considering this property - we had our holiday ruined by the owner who lives in the rest of the house.

The initial impression from the website of the agent we booked through was that this is a fully managed property and that everything would be looked after if anything went wrong.

When we arrived it was clear that the property had been neglected for some time and cannot possible had any kind of safety audit recently. Dead bulbs, a missing smoke alarm, broken electrical sockets and lamps, not a single working battery in any of the half dozen remote controls, dirty kitchen equipment, and faulty bathroom fittings including a leak into the kitchen which caused someone to slip badly and injure themselves requiring a trip to hospital.

However we then discovered that the property was supposed to be managed by the owner. She did not seem to be aware of, or care about, her responsibilities and apart from handing us a pack of batteries nothing was done by her to address the other issues we raised for the entire time we were there. She also stopped communicating with us, referring us to the agent even though the agent did not accept responsibility for resolving even the safety aspects of any problems.

After the slip and injury she sent in a plumber who claimed there was no leak, despite the fact that we had pictures of it and that the ceiling was stained and repainted presumably after previous leaks. It was only after I demonstrated the leak again and took more photos of it did the agent finally agree to become involved and it was resolved.

It's also worth noting that the pool that is advertised is actually in the yard of the main house, just outside the owners kitchen so it's not very relaxing (and it would be hard to justify the description 'luxurious'). Also the house has been split using thin hardboard panels so privacy is not great (their room lights shone through gaps into our sitting room). Also the terrace has no privacy at all from the main house terrace close by.

In over 20 years of regularly renting holiday homes this was the worst by far.
