Have the privilege to visit this bar several times over the years and they never fail to extend a warm welcome to you. The reason for my review after my latest visit is to rave about their Subday roast. We've all tried a roast whilst abroad, whilst I'm sure we enjoyed to some extent but it's never like a roast as we Brits know it. Well, I have to be corrected as The Old Barrel did just that. Choice of three meats and 3 of us had the beef and 1 had the lamb. You could have heard a pin drop whilst we were eating - we were enjoying it that much. Excellent beef, soft and market in your mouth and the gravy was second to none. My husband said the lamb was exceptional too. All in all I can't recommend this place and their good enough. It's a quiet place, but sometimes you just need that.
