Large restaurant situated on the western side of the village with a very nice beachfront location. 3 out of 4 dishes good (seafood pasta, shrimp souvlaki and mousaka) whereas the fried sole (?) should be avoided. However, the dissatisfaction was noted and the bill was adjusted accordingly.

We visited Kymata twice for dinner in a 6 night stay in Kalyves, on our 1st & last nights. We've been staying in Kalyves for 10+ years & have become a little weary of the places in the beach strip in the center of the village. Last year's favorite was O Milos, which was closed during this visit. TripAdvisor reviews tempted us to Kymata & we were very pleased. It's a nice environment, looking out over Souda Bay & the food was a step up from most restaurants in the area. The 2 of us had small fish (whitebait?) & a lovely rich veal stifado on our 1st visit & moussaka & chicken souvlaki on our 2nd. The house white wine was good, as was the complimentary plate of fruit & flask of raki at the end. The waiters were very friendly & attentive, the prices very reasonable, i.e. no more than we would pay elsewhere in Kalyves. We will return :o)

We visit Greece regularly and eat out whenever we can . This restaurant summarises all that is good quality ,simple, no nonsense and welcoming . We had swordfish steaks ,chicken souvlaki, moussaka, sea bream ,generous portions well cooked and presented, nothing pretentious just really good quality.
The service is always great and there is always a nice surprise at the end with complimentary fruits or dessert and raki

We ate here several times during our stay and the food was always excellent. The staff are excellent. We even managed to get chips crispy, which seemed almost impossible everywhere else we ate. Would definitely recommend this. Between us we had several dishes of fish and the moussaka and souvlaki over our visits. The house wine was also good.

You could not find a better place to sit and enjoy delicious food with a wonderful view.
Thanks again to Miranda and Andreas for their attention..they treat everyone so well, a credit to the restaurant x themselves
Can recommend any grilled fish..it is cooked to perfection and the seafood spaghetti is better than anything I have tried in an Italian restaurant!
Can't wait for our next visit
