“THE perfect place to stay between Truro and Falmouth”
Reviewed 6 January 2015 for a stay in January 2015

We've been down to Cornwall about two dozen times this year with work, either as a couple or with our kids - and have stayed in umpteen different places, ranging from the county arms in Truro (ok but a bit steep) to cottages all over the shop, the Alverton Hotel.... - the list could go on...
Primrose Cottage is the place I wish I'd found 18 months ago. The location is ideal - 10 minutes into Truro, and 10 into falmouth via the A39. Perranwell Station is gorgeous, with a good pub doing decent and not too over priced food (they also let dogs in). There are lovely walks around Perranwell (try the Bissoe to Devoran walk - about an hour and it is soft and gentle and offers perfect views)
The cottage is easy to find (we have had some heated 'discussions' over a sat nav trying to find some places... oh lordy, after a 7 hour drive down from Yorkshire they were fun. Loads of parking, and a good handover - (keys behind the bar at the pub - way hay !!) there is a fire, comfy sofas, a good amount of space, a dining table, and the whole place is sparkling and new. We loved it, and for the price (New Year week was about £650).
Very few criticisms - the place got a bit hot upstairs at night (so we turned down the thermostat derrr...) but that was about it.

We will be down here again, and TBH, I'm not sure we would want to stay anywhere else - this place is a really well done, solid, comfortable, and good value holiday cottage.
So book away and do not fear (but please leave gaps for us).

“Great location”

Primrose Cottage is very centrally located to explore all of Cornwall. The cottage is spacious, well furnished & well equipped. The modern bathroom is a delight, after some previous dubious bathroom experiences in Cornish cottages. And it's very close to some good watering holes, likes the famous Pandora Inn, the Old Quay at Devoran, the Waterside on Flushing Quay, the Red Lion at Stithians, the Cornish Arms at Frogpool, as well as the Royal Oak in the village, all of which serve good, reasonably priced local food. Would have no problem in recommending Primrose Cottage to other visitors to Cornwall.

“Excellent base in Cornwall”
Reviewed 29 August 2014 for a stay in July 2014

This was our first trip to Cornwall and Primrose Cottage proved to be an excellent base. We were there for two weeks and never travelled more than 40 minutes on a day trip. Three good sized bedrooms and plenty of public spaces. Well equipped throughout. Quiet sunny garden for barbeques.

Only slight issue is unsurprisingly the doors are low and you have to watch your head if over six foot tall.

Quiet village with a shop and a terrific pub, The Royal Oak, 200 yards away.
