Hotel is located in village 15 min drive from Fira. Has free parking and internet. Has swimming pool. Rooms are of different size. Deluxe room is big and light, big patio, good bathroom, has big good double bed, soft nice pillows. Standard room is definitely smaller, bed is much smaller that me and my husband had some difficulties for good sleep. TV has only Greek channels . Breakfast is not big, but good, boiled eggs, ham and cheese, pastries. Staff is extremely friendly, helpful and kind. Prices were quite moderate in June, so received service according to prices and standards.

My partner and I booked into here on the off chance after having a bad experience at another hotel on the other side of the island. So so glad we did, what a magical little find.

Argyou and Nikos are a husband and wife team and run this lovely little hotel together. They're a lovely couple and made us both feel very welcome from the onset. Nikos's English is very broken but he tried desperately to make conversation on various occasions. He very kindly drove us to the lighthouse one night to catch the sunset, as well as dropping us to the ruins and don't forget the transfers!! These two are literally very accommodating.

The hotel is tucked away in the village of Akrotiri which is perfect if you want something a bit quieter. There isn't much here but there isn't heaps of tourists so was a perfect way to end the holiday. The bus stop is only a ten minute walk so getting around the island is simple. The ancient dig site is only down the road as well and there's also the Venetian castle which is worth a visit. You can see both from the hotel.

If you're wanting to get away and relax then this is the place to visit. Would highly recommend this place.

The owners were very helpful and nice. When we arrived they gave us a welcome drink (orange juice) then at around 12:00 they already gave us the room even if the check-in is at 14:00.

They also have a restaurant, very good quality at affordable prices.

The location is good because you are near to the beach + have the caldera view. Only thing is that if you don't have a car/quad you must always hike up for around 7mins (not that hard anyway because you have an amazing view in front of you).

I recommend this hotel and definitely will stay here again if ever we go back in Santorini.

One more thing! they also offer free transfer from/to the airport and they will also take you (if they're not busy) to the nearest attractions in the area (ex: red beach, bus station to fira, akrotiri excavation site)

What a beautiful find in the quiet little town of Akrotiri. The hotel overlooks the Caldera and boasts some stunning views of the area. It's recommended to hire a quad bike for getting around the area, the lighthouse is a 10 minute drive away and well worth the visit. The rooms here are beautiful and cleaned every day with fresh towels provided. The family who run the villa are so lovely and welcoming and could not do enough for us even providing a wash basin and iron when needed! If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Fira and Oia, then this hotel is the place to come! There is a lovely little pool out front and the restaurant is fab and very reasonable! Highly recommend Villa Galinia to all visitors to Santorini!
