Such an amazing site and museum! We were so blessed to make it in time to visit both the site and museum. The museum has some beautiful pieces and lots of great history. The site was a little walk down the road but easy to get to and it's tucked away in this shady cool valley and it's just wonderful. So very different than the locations in Athens it;s really is an amazing site to visit and learn about and I highly recommend it.

A wonderful addition to your collection of Greek antiquities and Temples. Every bit as impressive as the Temple of Poseidon at Sounion. The Vravrona Museum and Temple of Artemis is located in rich farmland area surrounded by lovely trees and vegetation. A great deal of the Temple has been wonderfully reconstructed so that you get a good impression of the original site prior to destruction in 405 BC. The large stone bridge over the then flowing river shows the chariot groves on the path to Athens. Women all over the world love the story of Artemis promoting healthy births for women. The Vravrona Museum is worth the tiny fee and has stunning exhibits.

The same time we visited the museum of Vravrona that's at the same location as the Temple of Artemis . An amazing place about half an our outside of Athens. It's really worth going.

This is well worth a visit. Even though it covers only a small area, it is a lovely, peaceful site (especially if you have it to yourself and not a coach load) with a great history which you should check out before you go. Really nice museum on site as well.

If you want to visit areas nearby Athens, do not miss Vravrona! Beautiful Temple of Artemis, Archaeological museum, Bird watching, Beaches for all tastes, ancient huge fig trees, fields with vein trees and vegetables- it's all there!
