The villa is spacious and very well appointed. The house manager and chef, Pethun, was very helpful and an excellent chef. I recommend his prawn dishes but he really came into his own when my mother (in her late 70s) had a possible cardiac event arranging an immediate visit from a houseman at the Galle hospital and then helping us navigate our way round the hospital in Galle.
We stayed 10 nights and saw most of the local sights. The monsoon was in full swing in late July and this meant that lounging round the pool was rarely an option but when the sun is out it is a beautiful spot. It is very private and a much better option than the rather impersonal 5 star hotels on the beach side of the lake.

We have just returned from a two week holiday in Sri Lanka - we stayed in a number of places in the Galle area and luckily Sea Heart House was one of those. It is a beautiful, modern villa perched on the shores of Koggala Lake. Emma, Petchum and the team are very professional and friendly.
We have rented lots of holiday properties over the years and it's fair to say this is by far the most stunning. It's like a boutique hotel all to yourselves - the pool and the views are stunning. It is quite remote so definitely a place for chilling and relaxing. The home cooked food was very good and Petchum was very obliging in booking any activities - I would recommend a visit to the local tea plantation and a boat trip around the lake, they even pick you up at the house! So if staying in the Galle area, treat yourselves to a few day's luxury at Sea Heart House...
