“Gorgeous garden setting”

A lovely spot close enough to Cambridge but out of the bustle. The garden is wonderful - a fantastic veggie plot, a chook house with a few residents that pop by for the rolled oats the owners supply. The layout of the cottage is good, with a large main bedroom and a tiny second room with a small single bed. Beds are comfortable, and the place is warm. The bathroom could do with a bit of a refresh - a new coat of paint and a proper shower would be good. Similarly in the kitchen, new matching crockery wouldn't go astray - much of the old items there are chipped and mismatched, as are the wine glasses. The crockery was dirty from the previous visitors.

“Great little place, would stay again.”

Cracking wee cottage. My wife, 7 month old daughter and I stayed for 3 nights. Exploring Cambridge using the Park and Ride that is a mile away is a breeze. We were staying to be there for a wedding, just made it in to a mini break as well.
Huge lovely garden to lounge in as well, with plenty of room for a wee one to wear themselves out.
My only criticism of the cottage is that it would benefit immensely from a walk in shower, rather than just a bath.

This property is ideal for a small family and has everything you will need during your stay. It is well connected to Cambridge by bus - there is a bus stop just across the road and buses to Cambridge run every 30 minutes.
We recommend this property to those who wish to visit Cambridge and areas nearby.

“Unique accomodation in lovely location”

Stayed for weekend with wife and two grown sons (one slept on sofa bed in lounge) and we found the chapel an ideal location for visiting Cambridge, while at the same time providing a unique self catering experience in a lovely village setting. Owners provided fresh eggs on morning of departure courtesy of their hens which roam the large shared garden. Beds all very comfortable. This property represents really good value given its location and character.

Warm, cosy cottage in quiet location yet close to major routes into Cambridge. Well equipped but the single mattresses were very poor quality and uncomfortable.

Management Response
10 Mar 2014
We are so sorry you found the single mattresses uncomfortable. We have replaced the single bed mattress today and disposed of the spare one entirely as the single room is really too small for 2 adults to stay comfortably in the single room.
So the new mattress will be deeper, sprung and with memory foam and have a mattress topper on it too for added comfort.
