Description: Lunch served at 12:30 pm Thursday thru Sunday Dinner served at 06:30 pm Wednesday through Saturday Set on a working wine farm, we keep things down to earth, in all senses of the word! Home grown and foraged herbs and veggies, locally sourced fish and meats. Throw the white gloves out the window, and keep all the flavour and finesse a Michelin starred team brings to the table! No BYO, as we have put together an extensive wine list, with South African boutique wineries, overseas gems, and our own Springfontein wines, including older vintages, so everyone should be able to find something special to appeal to their palate, and pair with their meal! We look forward to meeting you, treating you, and showing you what we are all about!

This certainly must be one of the best restaurants we have ever been to, world wide. I certainly have never been to one in Johannesburg that comes close to this. Everything is beyond outstanding. It is important to book and if you are going for dinner, make sure you know the route because it is on a dirt road outside of Stanford with little or no lighting.

On a Sunday we had lunch at this lovely place. It was a wise decision to book a table before departing from Switzerland to South Africa because the Springfontein Eats was fully booked. After 5 km on a dusty road we enjoyed the warm welcome by Susanne Schneider and her cat. We enjoyed every single bite. Each dish was nicely presented and the quality excellent. The service was very attentive. We loved the fact that all wines are served by the glass so we had the opportunity to taste different wines from the Springfontein Wine Estate. It was a lunch we shall remember for a very long time. We will definitely return to Springfontein during our next journey to South Africa in 2018.

We decided to book for Sunday lunch, having dined here about 2 years ago and not having found it that great. What a decided difference! Not sure if the Chef has perhaps settled in to the South African ingredients but the food was superb! The setting is spectacular and the service immaculate and yet friendly, and the company of Silky the cat was the cherry on top! And did I mention the pinotage...?

What a surprise to find a restaurant serving this kind of food down a dusty road in Stanford! 4 course meal includes 2 amuse, a palate cleanser and some post desert deserts, so excellent value for money. Each dish was tasty and well presented, and front of house team were friendly and efficient. Slightly fancy food, but done really well. Will be back!

a bit disappointing and most of the dishes were very slightly over salted for my taste! All beautifully presented but just seemed to miss the mark. Friendly staff and service so maybe we just hit a slightly off night!
